Privacy Policy

Effective July 2024

Overview

Top Place Lists (“we”, “us”, “our”) builds static and dataset-driven listings for local discovery. We take privacy seriously and only collect the minimum data required to deliver and improve the product. This page outlines what data we collect, how it is used, and the controls available to you.

Website usage

We store standard server logs (IP address, user agent, referring URL) for short periods to monitor uptime and detect abuse. We do not sell or rent this data. Aggregated analytics may be used to guide product decisions.

Emails & outreach

If you contact us at hello@topplacelists.com or subscribe to future newsletters, we retain your email and name solely to respond or send requested updates. You can opt out anytime by replying with “unsubscribe”.

Cookies

The public marketing site does not set marketing cookies. In the future, authenticated dashboards may use essential cookies for session management.

Third-party services

We rely on Amazon Web Services for hosting and data storage. Generated datasets include publicly available business information sourced from Google Places and first-party research. If you are a business owner and wish to update or remove data, contact us and we will honour the request promptly.

Data retention

Contact emails are retained until you ask for deletion. Operational logs are typically purged within 30 days. Datasets may retain historical business information for quality assurance unless removal is requested.

Your rights

To request access, correction, or deletion of personal information reach out to hello@topplacelists.com. We review and respond to verified requests within 30 days.

Policy updates

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
